Sex Offender Search and Lookup:

A person charged and found guilty of a sex crime is mandated by law to register in the sex offender database of the state he or she resides in. The state sex offender database as well as the National Sex Offender Public Website maintained by the US Department of Justice is a safety resource that enables the public to access sex offender data nationwide.

The legal definition of a sex crime is an illegal act that involves illegal, forced, or coerced sexual conduct against another individual such as rape, sex trafficking, and child pornography. However, it is important to know that some states classify an individual as a sex offender even if the crime he or she committed is not sexually motivated. For example, in some states, individuals found guilty of public urination are categorized as sex offenders and required to register in the database.

You can conduct a search by using a name or geographic location. You can also sign up for email notifications to alert you when a registered sex offender locates to a house within a mile of your residence.

Please keep in mind that while the Clermont County tries their best to keep the information in the database as accurate and complete as possible, they cannot guarantee this. There may be discrepancies in the information because a sex offender failed to update his information such as his current address or did not enter his complete address, only the block where he lives on.

Bail and Bondsman

The Clermont County Jail allows the temporary release of an inmate who is awaiting trial provided the judge sets bail during his or her arraignment. Bail is the amount of money that is set by the court to guarantee that the inmate will appear at his trial. If an individual fails to show up, the money used to post bail will be kept by the court. Individuals who are unable to pay their bail can use the services of a bondsman. For a non-refundable fee, the bondsman will post the bail amount set by the court and become responsible for ensuring that the accused is present for his day in court. The fee is usually no more than 10% of the bail amount.

Got me out fast, was polite in the interview. I rated only 3 stars because the guy tried to convince the people bailing me out to not get me out. Said that I seemed like a busy man, suggested I wouldn't show up to court. If I ever need to bond someone out or ever need to again myself, I won't go here. Obviously they trusted me to show if they came to bond in the first place!
