SUBJECT: DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – 10 SUSPECTS CHARGED
“OPERATION GOBBLE GOBBLE”

ASSUMPTION – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports that 10 people have been charged in connection with an ongoing narcotics distribution investigation.
Nine of those charged have been arrested while narcotics agents continue to search for the 10th suspect.
Narcotics agents, uniformed deputies and S.W.A.T. personnel began arresting suspects early Monday morning as a result of operation “Gobble Gobble”. The investigation has spanned over the last several months.
Those arrested and their charges are as follows:
*Brandon Harris, 33, of 150 Pecan Street, Bertrandville, LA, was charged with one count of Distribution of Marijuana. Harris was already in jail on multiple drug and firearms charges.
*Kyren Smith, 21, of 115 Fertitta Lane, Napoleonville, LA, was charged with Distribution of Meth-Amphetamine, Resisting an Officer and Failure to Appear.
*Matthew Elkins, 31, of 121 Washington Street, Napoleonville, LA, was charged with one count of Distribution of Alprazolam. Elkins was a prior convicted felon.
*Gavin Bell, 21, of 300 Telegraph Street, Napoleonville, LA, was charged with one count of Distribution of Marijuana.
*Theresa Furnish, 52, 128 Oak Lake Street, Pierre Part, LA, was charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine. A search incidental to arrest and consent yielded quantities of the prescription drug Suboxone and Meth-Amphetamine. Furnish was also charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Suboxone and Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth-Amphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute Alprazolam.
*Wade Paul Rives, 35, of 315 Shell Beach Road, Pierre Part, LA, was charged with one count distribution of Meth-Amphetamine. A search warrant executed on Rives’ home noted additional quantities of Suboxone, marijuana and assorted paraphernalia. Rives was additionally charged with Possession of Suboxone, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
*Dontrell Landry. 37, of 134 Ideal Street, Belle Rose, LA, was charged with Distribution of Heroin. A search warrant was executed on Landry’s home and agents seized a quantity of synthetic marijuana and paraphernalia. Landry was also booked on counts of Possession of Cannabinoids (synthetic marijuana) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Landry was out on bond on prior felony charges.
*Steven Carcisse, 32, of 408 Owens Street, Napoleonville was arrested and charged with Distribution of Cocaine. A search warrant was executed at Carcisse’s home and agents seized quantities of marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia. Carcisse was booked on additional charges of: Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. At the time of this arrest, Carcisse was out on bond for prior felony counts.
*Terrance McBride, 29, of 109 Pugh Street, Paincourtville, LA, was arrested and charged with Distribution of Crack Cocaine. McBride was out on bond for unrelated felony charges.
The above suspects have been booked and incarcerated at the Assumption Parish Detention Center awaiting bail proceedings.
Additionally, agents are attempting to locate and arrest the following:
*Chasity Ricard – 33, of 134 Agnes Street, Pierre Part, LA, on charges of Distribution of Alprazolam

SUBJECT: FAILURE TO APPEAR – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – NEIL DUPRE

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Neil Joseph Dupre, 39, of 6557 Highway 1, Belle Rose, LA, on charges of Failure to Appear as scheduled for court of numerous drug law violations.
Dupre, was originally arrested in October of 2016 on charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Klonapin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Meth-Amphetamine with Intent to Distribute. He had been out on bond of $45,739.00.
Dupre was also out on bond on a Simple Burglary charge.
As a result of his failure to appear in court, a warrant was issued for Dupre’s arrest. He was taken into custody in St. Mary Parish and transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where he remains incarcerated in lieu of $1,200 cash bond.

SUBJECT: GRAND JURY INDICTMENT – TREVIS RAY

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Trevis Ray, 22, of 453 Highway 1000, Belle Rose, LA, after an Assumption Parish Grand Jury indicted him on a count of Felony Sexual Battery on November 8, 2017.
On or about December 5, 2016, the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services relating to sexual crimes upon a female child under the age of 12.
During the commission of the crime, Ray allegedly threatened to kill the victim if she told anyone.
Detectives conducted an investigation and presented the findings to District Attorney Ricky Babin.
The evidence was presented to a Grand Jury and resulted in Ray being indicted on one count of Felony Sexual Battery.
Ray was already being held on multiple unrelated counts and remains incarcerated.

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon and members of his Staff attended a very special Thursday afternoon awards ceremony at Assumption Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Napoleonville, LA.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars and Ladies Auxiliary were on hand to pay special tribute to all veterans.
After the recognition ceremonies, Sheriff Leland Falcon presented two very special awards. Mrs. Mildred Eaton was recognized for her military service and all her years of contributions during her lifetime. Mrs. Eaton is 101 years young. Mr. Rene Templet was recognized for his military service as well as his contributions over his lifetime of 100 years. Both received awards from the Sheriff.
Sheriff Falcon also extends a huge “Thank You” to all veterans who gave their all so we can lead the lives we now enjoy. Once again, a great big thanks to all veterans.
